In 2020, the output value of China's lighting industry continued to expand. In terms of sales, the overall sales of the domestic LED industry was about 617billion yuan, an increase of 6.38% year-on-year. The export scale reached US $21.5 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 2.3%.
In 2021, due to the impact of the real estate downturn, the overall situation is not optimistic, coupled with the global economic slowdown, twists and turns in Sino US trade disputes, limited recovery in the European market, uncertain changes in exchange rates and other factors, LED lighting exports are still not optimistic, resulting in increased business costs, structural overcapacity, serious product homogeneity, malicious price competition and other problems, LED lighting enterprises face many difficulties.
However, it is undeniable that there is still a broad space for growth in the field of LED lighting. Smart city smart home has brought a new direction to LED lighting. Obviously, intelligence has become the general trend of the lighting industry.
Under the general trend of this industry, LED driving power supply is also developing towards intelligence. Both driving enterprises and lighting application enterprises are developing towards intelligence.
The advent of the Internet of things and AI has also promoted the intelligent lighting, but so far, intelligent lighting is still mostly reflected in the concept. The reason is that the technology itself is immature and the level is not unified. The most important thing is that the business model has not been determined. The business model is actually a manifestation of value, and how to balance the interests between enterprises and the government is crucial.
